When it goes to calculate PR, it treats www.[website].com and [website].com as 2 different page so instead of assigning only one PR here, Google will give a PR to www.[website].com according to the inbound links to it, and assign another PR to [website].com based on the related inbound links to the second one.

This is not a good algorithm and you cannot add all the value of inbounds links into one higher value even it points to the same physical address actually.

• Force redirect in your web server configuration to make sure these 2 urls point to the same one
